Hi! I’m Katie. Nice to meet you!
I have over 15 years experience working in and working with non-profits. I work with nonprofits of all sizes to help with donor strategies, donor development, board development, fundraising strategy, donor research, grant management, advocacy efforts, database cleanup and database administration, report building, freelance work and helping nonprofits find the right tech stack to help you accomplish your organizations goals and build long term impact.
I am a proven leader and well-rounded expert in fundraising and organizational development. I am a recognized and sought-after leader in the nonprofit field and motivational manager of professional colleagues.
In my more than a decade long nonprofit career I have helped raise more than $45 million and helped create, manage and fundraise for many capital projects, medical equipment and programs. One of the highlights of my career is the success of the Sage Living campaign at St. John’s Health Foundation and the record-setting $19 million philanthropic contributions raised by the foundation from individual donors, foundations and businesses.
In 2020, COVID hit our country and county, and I helped lead campaigns that raised $2.3 million in five months. These funds provided protective equipment for hospital employees and the community and provided grants to employees for any hardships they may be facing. Also during this time, St. John's Health Foundation partnered with the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, in this partnership, I helped create, implement and manage the Mental Health JH pilot program. This program provided over 5,000 behavioral health sessions for community residents and earned the Non-Profit of the Year award from the Jackson Hole Chamber in 2021. I managed both these programs with the utmost respect, compassion and confidentiality and I was honored that my colleagues and community trusted me with their needs during this unprecedented and stressful time.
In 2018, I was approached by another non-profit partner about girls missing school in Teton County due to them not having access to feminine hygiene products. I took immediate action and helped found the Jackson Hole Period Project. With the support of St. John's Health Foundation, St. John's Episcopal Church and other non-profit partners, the Jackson Hole Period Project makes period products free in all schools in Teton County, WY and Teton County, ID as well as public organizations around those communities.
In 2010, in partnership with local OBGYNs, and the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, I created, fundraised for and managed the Pre-natal Entry Program. This program provided any woman in Teton County with seven discounted pre-natal visits. Since the program started, no women in Teton County have gone without access to pre-natal care. I have created, fundraised for and managed many community programs while at SJHF, including the Women’s Health Care Fund, Men’s Health Fund, Diabetes Fund, Stroke and Cardiac Fund and the St. John’s Health Nurse Education and Employee Scholarship Program.
I have extensive experience managing large-scale, complex databases. I am skilled in EveryAction, NGP VAN, Mobilize, GiveGab, OneCause, Raiser’s Edge, SalesForce, NeonOne, Donor Perfect, Mailchimp, Squarespace and other database management systems. I have a strong understanding of database design and data modeling with excellent troubleshooting skills.
I would be honored to partner with your organization to help you advance your mission and create long term impact.
